Kathy's Challenge

A fellow DT member and all around lovely lady has posted a challenge on her blog (Up In the Night With Kat). I love her original version and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, mine did not go as planned! I just did not have the right size circle punch and my circle cutter would not go small enough. So my LO evolved and changed and looks nothing like the original! But I will try again!

Kathy's beautiful LO:

And my version:

In my defense...... I kinda ran with the 'confetti' aspect of Kathy's heart and I also included some little hearts with the confetti. *hangs head in shame*

I am going to get another circle punch, maybe a 1" or slightly larger one (what would YOU recommend??). And then I will try again!

This was made entirely with Echo Park's 'Happy Days' collection. Love those bright colours!

Project 12 ~ August

Here is the latest installment in my Project 12 and the Colour Suite challenge layouts. I used the August 2010 sketch and of course the August 2012 Colour Suite.

And here is my layout:

I love how this turned out!

I had trouble finding the right colour papers for this one. I had to rope my sister into helping me! And this may be the first time I really used my Cricut on a LO! Love the 'Life is  a Beach' cartridge!

This layout was also made with the latest weekly challenge at CropChocolate.com in mind (Celebrate Summer with water) and also the latest challenge on the Scrapbookin' Adventures facebook page (which is to combine 3 previous challenges).

Supplies:
Cricut - 'Life is a Beach'
Echo Park - Victoria Garden & Country Drive cardstock
American Crafts - 'Heat Wave' papers
Thickers - 'Doll'
Making Memories - Paperie 'Poolside' brads
Martha Stewart - glitter glue
blue & grey cardstock

CropChocolate.com Weekly Challenge #27

This weeks's challenge at CropChocolate.com was the perfect chance for me to play with some new stamps and washi tape and scraplift a gorgeous layout I had just pinned!

The challenge is to create a rainbow-inspired project and silly me just noticed that it had to include bling! Oops! I'll have to add some stickled to the clouds :)

The layout I scraplifted can be found here. It is gorgeous and I don't feel like my copy quite captured the awesomeness of it, so I may have to give it another try!

I do love how this LO turned out! It just doesn't give me the same feeling as the original. What do you think? Did you check out the original?

Supplies:
-Echo Park - 'Summer Days' collection pack and chipboard shapes
- WRMK - Sweetheart Inker in purple
       - Washi tape in purple
- Fancy Pants buttons from various collections
- Bella Blvd - green washi tape
- twine
- Unity Stamp Co - 'Sunny Happy Skies'

Playing Catch-Up!

I've had this pile of LO's that needed to be finished, staring at me for a couple of months now. I made it my goal to tackle it today. I am happily surprised that they all finished so quickly.

All of the LO's are from classes I took at Crop & Create Burnaby, except for the 'You're a Natural' LO. That one is from the Basic Grey 'Green at Heart' LO kit I purchased from CropChocolate.com.

I thought I would just post them all together. Let me know if you have any questions!

The first LO is the BG kit. The second and third are from Kelly Goree's 'Paper Mixology' class. The last 3 are from Becky Fleck's 'Favorite Sketches' class.

I can't give you the product listings, since the class kits were a mix of products. But if you do want to know about something specific, I may be able to let you know what it is!

Project 12 ~ June & July

The folks over at Scrapbook & Cards Today who run Project 12, have taken the summer off and are just doing a "Summer" Project 12. I decided I would keep going with the monthly Project 12 still using the monthly Colour Suite.

I used the sketches from June & July 2010 and the Colour Suites from June & July 2012. You can find all the sketches (and more info on Project 12) HERE. And for more info on Colour Suite, go HERE!

So first up we have my June layout. This is the Colour Suite:

And my LO:

The pictures on this LO are from Amalie's class last year and the Circus performance they did. I also made this LO with the current challenge at CropChocolate.com in mind. This week's challenge is "Banners, Buttons and Bows." The requirements are to use a banner on a project and also either buttons or bows.

Products Used: DCWV cardstock and glitter cardstock; Echo Park 'Sweet Day' collection pack.

And my July layout.
