Bo Bunny Blog Challenge

I saw a simple sketch on the Bo Bunny blog this morning, so I thought I would give it a try.

The sketch.

My take on it.

Used just the Bo Bunny Blast Off collection (papers, tags and chipboard). I have also used this collection to make Iain a name banner and a mobile.

Love this collection for my little guy :)

Brand New Ribbon Carousel

The folks over at Ribbon Carousel are debuting their new Ribbon Carousel.©  It is beautiful!!!

They are also generously giving away one Ribbon Carousel©
to a lucky random winner. Hope it's me!!!

ETA: The contest is on their blog! Good luck everyone!

Not quite sun,

But the sky did brighten up long enough for me to get some pics! And just minutes after I posted about the lack of sun :)

This was made using Echo Park's Yours Truly line. Plus some MM bling and some shiny green cardstock. This is also my very first attempt at rolled flowers. I like them!

This used Echo Park's WinterTime collection (from last year). I pop-dotted a couple of the elements and added some stickles for sparkle :)

Love how this turned out! I used Crate Paper's Peppermint collection for the paper,  ribbon, stickers/tags and the embellies (stand outs). I also used Basic Grey's Jovial chipboard stickers (frame), and MM Mistletoe pin and shimmer alphas.

Please let me know what you think!

Waiting for some Sun...

A quick post of a LO I did last week. I was hoping to post the three I did Sunday, but the weather is just too yucky for decent pictures. If you have any tips in how to get good photos when the weather is poopy, please share!

This LO was made to go next to one I made a little while ago. You can find it here.

I love this line from MME. Perfect for little boys!
I had a little "helper" while I was photographing this :)

Supplies:
MME - Quite Contrary, Little Boy - paper, tags and stickers
Bazzil - cardstock
Buttons?
Brown Ric Rac - reminisce

Creative Scrappers Sketch #191

I was just introduced to the Creative Scrapper's blog challenges and I thought I would give the current sketch a try.

Here is my take on it.

Supplies:
Echo Park 'Be Mine'
MME Lost & Found button
MM 'Just Chillin' girls trim
Vintage Lace
Thickers

Crop Chocolate - Focus Group January Challenge

I have been a member of the CropChocolate.com Focus Group for a few months now. I thought I would share this month's challenge.

Our challenge was to be inspired by this image. And no layouts allowed!

This is what I did.

I made a card! I ♥ it.

Supplies:
What card base
Basic Grey paper
MM stamp (branch & blooming)
Butterfly punch

Crop Chocolate - Focus Group Tryouts

So the January Focus Group challenge was the last for CropChocolate.com's first focus group. And I decided to try out again! We had to submit a project inspired by a sketch for this round.

The sketch.

My entry.

A card. I just wasn't seeing the sketch as a layout for me. But I've seen some of the entry's that did make a layout and they look fantastic! I may have to try it again :)

I had so much fun using scraps to make this card that I decided to make some more.

Supplies:
White cardbases
Basic Grey Sugar Rush collection

Winter Blossoms

I saw the image that Moxie Fab World posted for their Tuesday Trigger and loved it! I haven't participated in this challenge before but I knew I had to this week!

The image (or 'trigger').

Isn't that gorgeous!

And here is my 'inspired' layout :)

So I was inspired by the pretty, neutral colour palette and the almost monotone scheme of it. I cut the pink stripe (sort of) sections of some Dear Lizzy paper. The center polka dots is the adhesive fabric Dear Lizzy paper. And the background is misted Bazzil cardstock. I finished it off with some 'vintage' lace, Dear Lizzy pearl brads and MM paper flowers. Oh and journaling card from a kit I bought ages ago. I don't remember what it was.

MME Blog Challenge

After all the LO's I did last week, I felt in need of a little inspiration today. So I decided I would do the My Mind's Eye blog challenge for January.

The sketch (with the theme of 'New').

MME2012_sketch_layout01_Jan

Pretty darn cute.
And here is what I did.

I've been loving all of the misting I've been seeing lately so I thought I would give it a try. I used a fancy laser cut piece of paper as a stencil. I'm pretty happy with it. Just wish I had gone a little lighter with the mist.

Supplies:

MME - alphabet soup - boys - paper and accessories
Thickers
Various buttons

Busy Busy Busy! Part 2...

I decided to post share two layouts in a separate post because I had posted them online and asked for some help. I had the papers and the pictures stuck down and a few embellies but then I was stumped. And they just needed something. Enter Jasmine! I hope she doesn't mind me adding her link ;) She had a few good ideas and I used them! Thanks Jasmine!

I love this line from Cosmo Cricket! So pretty! It's called 'Just Keep Swimming.' I used the papers and journalling strips and a few of the stickers. And that's where I was stuck. After I added the pearls and the shell/pearl brads (doodlebug).

This one was really hard for me. I knew what I wanted to journal and that seemed to be making it extra hard to pick the papers. None of my baby or boy lines were cutting it. But as soon as I looked at Echo Park's Times & Seasons, I knew it was 'the one' ;)

I used Echo Park's Times & Seasons papers and embellies/journalling cards. Some random metal buttons from my stash. Making Memories Charmed Words (baby). And the white crochet trim is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and is misted with Antique Gold Shimmer Mist.

Busy Busy Busy!

I have had the urge to scrap some layouts the last few days so I have tried to fully embrace the momentum! I have 4 completed layouts to share in this post!

This double layout was made with Echo Park's Little Girl line. Love it. I used pop dots to raise a couple of the embellies down in the bottom right corner.

This layout was made with Echo Park's Splash line. This is still me favorite summer line to use :)

I love how this turned out. The paper is from the Pebbles 'Lil Buddy' collection. The ribbons are Making Memories Giggle Kids Boy. The star and circle brads are Queen & Co. I used Fancy Pants 'Rough & Tough' journaling sticker and rub on. And Doodlebug 'Doodletwine' alphas.

And finally this layout uses the MME 'So Sophie' paper and tags. This is such a beautiful collection. I also added Making Memories: Paper Reverie Brun Antique gems and brads & Wedding brads. The little bit of crochet trim is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and I sprayed it with Heirloom Gold Shimmer Mist.

Thanks for looking!
