Hello Hello! Welcome to your 6th stop on the CropChocolate.com Banner Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Julie's blog. If you just stumbled upon the blog hop, please feel free to join in and start here at Amber's blog! Visit all the design team's blogs along the way (I hear some of them are offering blog candy) and leave a comment at the final stop at the CropChocolate.com blog in order to be entered to win!
If you have been following along on the hop, then you know that we have a banner theme happening. I was pretty happy that Amber chose this theme, because I had seen a neat banner method on Pinterest that I had been wanting to try. Sometimes I need that extra to push to actual get around to trying things!
Without further ado, I present my banner card! (That's right, a card. Not usually what you think of when you hear 'banner').
Isn't she pretty?! Do you see why I wanted to try this banner technique? Pretty and easy!
See how the banner pops off the card?
I glittered the stamp so it is hard to read, but it says "congratulations" and "a dream come true."
I even prettied the inside. Although I am kicking myself for forgetting to ink the edges of the papers like I did on front. *sigh* I hope the bride and groom like it :)
If you would like to make a banner like this, the tutorial I found is at: http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2012/01/make-it-monday-51.html .
Thank you for coming and looking! Your next stop is at Miwa's blog!

DCWV July Sketch Challenge
Just a quick post of my layout for the DCWV Blog Sketch Challenge (July).
The sketch:
The sketch:
My LO:
I love how this turned out. I inked a square on the LO so that I could keep that element from the sketch without hiding this beautiful paper.
I used the Timeless Type Stack from DCWV (which I just picked up today!). I love this stack! The smaller bits are all cut out from this stack as well. The only other supplies I needed were my Distress Inks (walnut stain & pine needle), pop dots, CTMH alpha stamps (Chocolate Alphabet) and my trusty journaling pen.

This first LO is for the current weekly challenge at CropChocolate.com (#22). The challenge was to use pastels, a dark colour and bling. I combined it with the Scrap-it #3 sketch on the Scrapbookin' Adventures facebook page.
I used the Basic Grey Kioshi collection, American Crafts (brown) and Bazzil (purple) cardstock and Thickers.
