My favorite card ever!

I have been (barely) holding off posting this card because I used it for the Card Swap on Crop Chocolate. But since I have now also entered it in the Xyron Christmas Card Challenge over on their Facebook page, I may as well share it here too!

Please, if you are on facebook and have not done so already, please leave a comment on  my card. The comments count as votes and I would love to win a Xyron prize pack! This is the link to my project https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150502710358745&set=a.10150502708818745.426834.79304223744&type=3&theater

Thank you for your support!

Without further delay, may I present My Favorite Card I Have Ever Made!!!!!

It is called 'telescoping card.' I found the tutorial in a newsletter from Splitcoast Stampers. You can find the tutorial here. It pretty darn easy and fun to make! You can switch up the shapes to whatever you prefer and do this for any season/occasion. I also added the little tag, since the stamps I used did not have a sentiment.

And here is why it is my favorite card ever. Easy and fun to make. Love the papers. And I finally used the adorable snowmen stamp set from CTMH.

I made four for the card swap. It was hard to part with them....

Supplies:
Xyron Adhesive
Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge
My Minds Eye Christmas Glitter Stack - papers
White Cardstock
CTMH - Christmas Melodies stamp set
CTMH - Snow Friends stamp set
Martha Stewart glitter markers
Copics
Stickles - Stardust
Making Memories - clear jewel brads

Card Challenge

I made a little birthday card for a dear friend and I was so happy to have a reason to use this Ippity stamp set ("Time for friends...and wine).

I was inspired by a card I had seen when the set was released back in October, but of course I could not find it again. So I winged it. The one thing I did remember about it was that they had popped up the words uplift and soul.

I am entering this one in a few challenges :)

The Ippity Opportunity "Case" Challenge
The Hiding In My Craft Room Mix It Up Holiday Challenge (birthday :)
And the Ippity Opportunity Linky Party (not a challenge, but I am joining the 'party')

The card :)

Supplies:
Ippity by Unity - Time for Friends ...  and Wine
Stampendous - Party Invite (inside sentiment)
Making Memories - black and white mat stack
Pink Ribbon ?

Shovelling Miles

I managed to make two cards today, in between running downtown to get the Brownie from her sleepover, vote, pick up  two gifts and then run her to a birthday party this afternoon.

This card I made for the Kraftin' Kimmie Blog Challenge #105. It is a sketch challenge.

Here is my entry:

The stamped image is pop-dotted so that it sits above the paper. I wish it showed better in the picture. I love this image! I think I'll use this card for a certain some one's birthday....

Supplies:
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Shovelling Miles
Unity Stamp Co - sentiment from the June 2010 kit of the month
Echo Park - Winter Park papers and stickers

Let it Snow!

Here is a cute little card I made for the Unity Stamp Company monthly challenge. The cute little snowman stamp stamp (?) is from the big grab bag that I purchased from the Unity site. If you ever thinking about ordering the grab bag, do it! It has so much in it! (I think I will post a picture of it for everyone to see).

This months challenge is "Let it Snow." I love theme challenges!

Here is my entry:

It's kinda hard to see in the photo, but the center snowman stamp is pop dotted so it sticks out further than the other two (which are just flat to the paper). The 'winter joy' sentiment is also from the same grab bag.

And I just quickly took a picture of the grab bag stamps (it's not great, but you get the idea).

Supplies:

Unity Stamps: 'winter joy' & snowman stamp (both from grab bag)
Echo Park: Holly Jolly Christmas - paper
Doodlebug: Christmas frills (trims)
Stickles: frosted lace

Project 12 - October Sketch

So in order to get some help dealing with my huge pile of photos waiting to be scrapped, I have decided to rejoin the Project 12 challenge over at Scrapbook and Cards Today. I had planned on doing this all this last year, but only managed to do January. I blame the baby. So back in the saddle to at least get the 2010 photos done!

October's Sketch:

Very nice!

My layout (pardon the bad lighting, it has been very wet and dreary here lately) and please click on the pictures to enlarge them!

Now on to November! And maybe I should go back and catch up on all the others......

White Cardstock

A Sense of Accomplishment

Things I have finished:
~ 4 Christmas Cards for a swap
~ 30 Christmas cards for sending
~ Sorted all waiting to be scrapped photos into proper chronological order (don't you hated when they come from the printers all mixed up?)

I think it is time to take a break from card challenges and focus on getting caught up on my scrapbooking. I have at least half of 2010, and almost all of 2011 up until the end of July, printed and waiting. And then from August til now to print (and add to the pile). Le sigh.

First up, I am so in love with the cards I made for a swap with some ladies at Crop Chocolate, that it pains me to part with them. I'm not usually that crazy about the cards I make, but these ones are just so darn cute! Now I can't show them to you or it would ruin the surprise, but here is a little sneak peak!

Aren't those snowmen the cutest?! They are from a CTMH set that I adore but haven't used much (until now).

Now, the Christmas cards that I am sending to friends and family are nowhere near as cute (in my humble opinion). I was debating with myself over whether or not I should show them but have decided to go ahead and do it.

This is just a few of them. There is a variety of papers and ribbons used. And some have a felt snowflake and others have the snowflake brad. I really wish I had enough of the felt snowflakes for every card. They are so pretty and fill that space so nicely. The one element of the cards that I am really happy with is the tree. It is stamped in a light green and covered in glitter (which I then sprayed with a sealer, so hopefully I won't be sending envelopes full of loose glitter to everyone!). So pretty. I was going to add little red gems to them (like in the center of the snowflake) but they gems weren't cooperating and I think I like them better like this.

I should add, that inside the cards is stamped "a merry little Christmas." I don't want to leave you all hanging at "Have yourself....."

So, what do you think of them?

Products used:
Cream cardstock
Bazzil green cardstock
Making Memories Christmas papers
CTMH Christmas papers
Anna Griffin green ink pad
StazOn ink pad Jet Black
Clear Glitter & Xyron
CTMH stamp sets : ~ Merry Little Christmas
                  ~ Evergreen
CTMH green ribbon & red ribbon
Making Memories red & white twine
Making Memories snowflakes and snowflake brads

I think that's everything! I will post more picture and a product list for my sneak peak cards, after that swap is done. I can't wait to show them off!
